Khurrum sits on the board of directors for MCCJ, an organization that embraces diversity and is dedicated to building an inclusive community.

Khurrum has been the co-chair of the highly successful Headliners Breakfast since its inception in 2012. An MCCJ event which honors journalists who uphold MCCJ’s mission through their reporting by drawing attention to prejudice and discrimination, and highlighting individuals and communities that work towards building an inclusive society. Rooted in interfaith good will, their mission includes creating safe havens for dialog, training inclusive leaders, and highlighting the benefits of diversity through education, advocacy, dialog and conflict resolution.



MCCJ was founded in 1935 as the Miami branch of the National Conference of Christians and Jews. MCCJ’s mission is to advance understanding and respect among all cultures, religions and races.
